Lapbooks

Lap-books

Lapbooks are folders with information about a theme or unit. You can include maps, pictures, worksheets, or anything to do with your theme.

There are lots of examples on the internet.  Here are a few websites to get you started.

I decided to start with a lapbook on habitats. I found the websites and worksheets to help me with an assignment that would be worthwhile, fun and instructive with students.  When I was working in 2nd and 3rd grade, I would use the making pockets theme books (very cool).  These are similiar and I could adapt it better to the upper grades.  Through in activities from foldables and you have scrapbooking in the making!

I have done a Native American, Colonial America, and American Revolution .  I found some of the pages on Enchanted Learning Website and I am looking for more sites.
